Patrons from the following zip codes may make a reservation and pick up their tickets at WILL CALL to receive a very special discount:
14201, 14203, 14204, 14207, 14208, 14209,14211, 14212, 14213.
Making a Purchase
Subscription and ticket purchases, as well as tax-deductible donations, may be made in person, by phone, or securely online.
The BOX OFFICE opens one hour before show time. Reserved and or pre-paid tickets (will-call), including group sales and
subscriptions, must be picked up no later than one half hour before the scheduled curtain time. We reserve the right to re-sell your ticket after that time.
No Refunds Policy
Tickets are non-refundable and no credits will be issued for unused tickets. Refunds will only be issued in the event of a performance cancellation.
Methods of Payment
We accept cash, check, major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Service & Handling Fees
In order to maintain inexpensive ticket pricing, as well as help offset expenses related to box office hardware, software and third party online sales services, Ujima must charge a service fee to each sale. We make every effort to keep the fees as reasonable as possible.
Reservations can be made by phone by calling (716_281-0092 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the following information when making a reservation:
Full name of the reservation
Performance date attending
Number and type of tickets (general, senior, student, veteran)\
Tickets can be reserved without payment, but must be paid for 24 hours before the performance.
If you are purchasing tickets for a group of 15 or more you are eligible for discounted ticket rates. Please complete the form at the following link to submit an order for your group - Group Tickets Form
We will try to accommodate ticket exchanges up to 48 hours before the earlier performance.
Seating for the Ujima Theater is assigned. Patrons requiring special seating consideration should contact the Box Office to make advance arrangements.
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled performance time. If you are driving to the theater we advise you to give yourself enough time to find parking. More information regarding paring can be found below. The theatre will be opened for seating by the House Manager approximately 20 minutes prior to curtain.
Latecomers will be seated completely at the discretion of the House Manager at the first appropriate break that allows for the least disruption for the actors, as well as the rest of the audience. Please keep in mind only a limited number of latecomers can be accommodated.
Performance cancelations due to inclement weather or other circumstances are very rare. When a performance must be canceled, we will make every attempt to contact you to make arrangements for an alternate date. Please note: Ujima does not offer refunds when a performance has taken place.
Food & Beverage Policy
No food or beverages are permitted in the Ujima Theater.
No Recording Policy
Due to contract restrictions, the use of recording equipment or the taking of photographs is strictly prohibited at all performances. This includes, but is not limited to, cell phones with cameras, video cameras, and audio recording devices. Ujima reserves the right to confiscate any and all devices in non-compliance to this policy.
Due to the intimate nature of our performances, almost any noise may be disruptive for other patrons, as well as the actors on stage. Out of courtesy, we insist that all electronic devices (cell phones, pagers, watch alarms, etc.) be turned off and any lozenges or cough drops be opened before the start of the performance. Conversation must be kept to a minimum and text messaging is forbidden.
Parking for performances is available in the 429 Plymouth Ave lot or on the street on Plymouth Ave, Normal Ave, as well as side streets. If you are parking on the street please be mindful of parking signs and be respectful of our neighbors' driveways/private property.
Additional parking will also be available at the nearby Frank A. Sedita Academy (PS #30) located at 21 Lowell St, Buffalo, NY 14213.
